Flood Relief Vietnam

Flood Relief Vietnam: November-December 2025

Between October and December 2025, Vietnam suffered its greatest flood damage in history. 180 people were dead or missing. 200,000 homes were inundated. 1.7 million livestock were lost. Near Hue where we are working, rainfall reached 173 centimeters (68 inches) in 24 hours, the highest ever measured.

Mr. Thinh’s Contributions

Under the leadership of Mr. Thinh and wife BacYen, Dry Creek’s support was shared in a brilliant manner.

Phase One

As soon as we received confirmation of support, we promptly advanced funds to assist families in extremely difficult circumstances. During this phase, people received rice, essential supplies, and some cash to help them through the most urgent period.

Phase Two

When the funds arrived in our account, quite some time had passed since the floods and people had begun to restore their livelihoods. We provided cash support so families could buy rice seeds, pigs, chickens, animal feed, and we also supported the local veterinary sector in purchasing medicines to prevent livestock diseases.

Phase Three

This phase took place as the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tết) was approaching—a very important and meaningful time for Vietnamese people.

We supported patients who had to remain in hospitals during Tết and could not return home.

We gave gifts to disadvantaged students so they could celebrate Tết more joyfully.

We provided funding for local authorities to organize a “Zero-Cost Market,” allowing rural families to obtain essential Tết goods free of charge.

In addition, together we have supported low-cost meals for workers and students at Yên Vui Community Kitchen in Huế.

To be able to operate in many localities and carry out diverse activities, we have cooperated with other social organizations and mobilized volunteers. In particular, the Bông Sen Charity Fund has accompanied Dry Creek Charity closely throughout this time.
